My pomeranian will ONLY eat pedigree... my yorkie got a taste of that accidently and he will not eat iams anymore!! my vet says pedigree isnt really a good food to give.... is it okay? or please suggest some pupppy foods that will be good for him!! thanks ohh, btw.. since he started eating that pedigree food his poop has been a little mushier than it always was.... not trying to sound gross!! but could that mean the food is not good for him? thanks :P

| I don't personally like Pedigree or Iams. The main reason I won't feed Iams is because of the cruelty that went on there. IamsCruelty.com As far as Petsmart goes - By Nature, Castor & Pollux, Blue Buffalo and Wellness come to mind. I, in my non professional opinion, like to stay away from by-products, unnamed meat sources, soy, wheat, corn, preservatives like Ethoxyquin and menodione. Some sites to use just as a base - www.dogfoodadvisor.com and www.dogfoodproject.com are good references. Don't worry if a food is a "3 star" or whatever though... I don't much pay attention, I am more concerned with the company behind the food, ingredients, and how well a dog does on a food.

| oh my gosh! i didn't even know that was going on, i definitely will not buy Iams again... the only reason i had him on that food is because that's what he was being fed before i got him!

| Blue Buffalo should be good. Wellness is good too. Any of the better foods that DON'T contain corn, wheat, soy, gluten, by-products, unnamed animal parts/products, artificial preservatives, or menadione should be fine. Sometimes these companies will provide samples of their foods so you can try them, or coupons for purchasing food. Just contact the ones you are interested in trying and see if you can get samples and coupons.

| I use blue buffalo not puppy but I like how the small breed formulas have smaller bites. Wellness is also a good food and there but there bites seem to be really hard in my opinion.

| I like Welliness. All of ours are on it. Blue Buffalo makes them too gasy. I feed the small kibble and canned. Be sure whatever you chose you mix the old with the new in kibble until they get use to it. I'm sure you probably know that but just in case it will help the little one not to have tummy problems. |

| Both of my dogs eat Taste of the Wild. It is labeled as an all stage dog food. I tried Wellness, but neither one of my dogs seemed to like it much. They love Taste of the Wild. |

| Check some local pet boutiques, groomers or vets they offer some good foods. Petsmart is offering better foods so you should be able to find a good food . |
