| Taste of the Wild or Blue Buffalo I would really appreciate any opinions on either of these foods. Thanks!

| Hi , in my opinion they are both excellent foods. Of course all dogs are different so you just need to go with the one that suits your doggie. |

| They're both decent foods. I like the lower protein option that TOTW has with their pacific stream, but other then that. I think they are on equal footing. Gizmo tried Blue Instinct I think and had the farts like woah. So, I guess that was my complaint with that. But looking back, he had a chicken allergy so I guess it made sense that it wasn't the food but how he was reacting to it.

| Blue Buffalo has a lot of low protein options. They have their Blue Basics line, Longevity, Wilderness, among their regular lines. Wilderness being their higher protein option (but it's still nothing extreme). I've never tried BB and I briefly fed TOTW. I was always happy with TOTW but I am not going to lie -- the fact that it's a Diamond product concerns me. It's not just made at a Diamond facility but it's an actual Diamond product. I don't think it's a bad food, ingredient-wise, it's great; many do fantastic on it, and if you are on a budget, it's a good choice. Blue Buffalo had some issues semi-recently with vitamin K or something overdose, but I don't think they are a bad company. I hear some dogs get gassy on BB but it works wonders for others. I think as far as Petsmart goes, it's one of the best choices you can purchase there. I've never fed it but know a Lab who does amazing on it - his stools are always perfect 2x a day, his coat is sooo gorgeous and shiny, never any ear or eye troubles, etc, etc. I've never personally tried it so can't say from experience. I like Acana the best, as well as Fromm and Now! and Go! (both by Petcurean Pet Foods).

| I am currently feeding Moka and Mylee Blue Buffalo Limited Ingredient food and I have been happy with it. I was feeding the TOTW but our local store quit carrying it so I switched rather than have it shipped, but I was happy with TOTW and am equally happy with the BB.

| Princess was on TOTW before she got sick this summer (unrelated) & we both loved it. She acted like it was the best food in the world. She also maintained her weight, which is hard to do now, & had small, less stinky poop. I think a 6# bag was about $10 & it lasted a long time. She used the bluish/purple bag, though I can't remember the flavor. Also, I contacted them prior to purchase & they sent me 48oz. of samples which I thought was great.

| The price is not a deciding factor for me at all. I did find it odd that the TOTW was only $10 a bag while the BB was $15. I'm going to try a chicken and grain free food to see if she itches less. She was licking one of her paws a LOT this morning, so I think I am on the right track. I'm also considering feeding raw. Someone here said they did raw in the morning and then free fed TOTW throughout the day. That might work for us. I really want to feed them the best I can while also being reasonable about what I can handle. I bought a bag of the TOTW salmon food and we are transitioning to that as a first step. Thanks for all the feedback.

| Taste of the Wild is a Winner in my book! I switched Riley from Acana to Taste of the Wild a few months ago. I bought a bag of the Pacific Stream and a bag of the Sierra Mountain. He Loves them both.... he is Thriving.... He gets soooo excited come meal time and I have been very happy with it. If you email the company they will send you a box of samples. I emailed them a couple of times with questions and got an immediate response back. |

| I am currently putting Mikki on TOTW. She loved the venison and bison I think? But I was worried because of the 32% protein. Tried the Pacific Stream and she was not wild about it. Now we are trying the Sierra Mountain. Keeping my fingers crossed it works.

Senior Yorkie Talker | I have had Jake for a month now and the breeder had him on Eukanuba, I have been checking different reviews and it just seems ok. For my baby, I am not worried about price, just a good food for him. I was thinking of trying Blue. Any thoughts? |
