| How much food and how often do you buy food Hi everyone, my question is for those of you who buy dry kibble food. How much do you buy in lbs.? For instance, I usually buy a 5 lb. bag of kibble for my two babies and they both weigh around 7 lbs. The bag of kibble seems to last almost a month, and I also supplement it with wet food. I was wondering if maybe I should up the size of the bag to 15 lb., but if I do it would take them longer to finish the bag, and I am worried because the food being stored for so long may not be as fresh as it was when recently bought. I would like to know how your experience is when buying dog food. I appreciate your help! |

| I personally always buy the smaller bag - but I only have one dog. Even if I had two, I'd probably still buy the smaller... I agree w/ you, I like it to be fresh, LOL. Maybe that's weird. I also rotate flavors within a brand so switching after every 5.5lb bag works out for us. My 16lb dog has been eating 3/4 cup per day. I am not sure what exactly what equals out to. But I'd say a 5.5lb bag of food lasts us a little over a month?

| We feed Orijen, and they're on a free-feed because both of them know what is sufficient for their bodies. Neither are overweight. If it gets to the point where they need to be on a schedule, we'll do that. We buy the 5 lb bag of Orijen from Mr Chewy and get it automatically delivered once a month. |
