| Dehydrator Recommendation Needed! For those that have one, could you share what model you have and what works best? I'm simply looking to get one that won't put a big hole in my wallet and also works well but there are so many... I've read bunch of reviews and I'm considering the: Nesco/American Harvest FD-80 Square-Shaped Dehydrator Any opinions? Suggestions? Advice? |

| I would really like for Santa to bring me one of these! My two furbutts are breaking the bank with their appetite for sweet 'tater fries and jerky. |

| I heard good things about nesco as well. That fd-61 model is 55 bucks on Amazon too. That's a great price. I may have to pick up one. Amazon.com: Nesco American Harvest FD-61 Snackmaster Encore Dehydrator and Jerky Maker: Kitchen & Dining The pet treat maker is 50 bucks. http://amzn.com/B005EQ1KP4

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I don't know anything about the Nesco, but I would highly recommend you avoid the Oster line. I burned out two in the span of a year Does anyone have the Pet Treat maker version of the Nesco? Is it just a smaller version of the regular one or a different wattage, etc?

| I have had a couple of Ronco dehydrators - cheapO's from Walmart that worked great. I certainly got my money's worth from them. I am at the point where I would like to replace the old Ronco - it still works great, but I just want a newer model. I've spent the past several hours reading reviews and I have decided on the Excaliber 3900 series. It is rather pricey $219 at Amazon, but according to the reviews I've read at several sites, if you are planning to do "heavy duty" dehydrating the Excaliber beats all others hands down. I'm going to have to wait until I am able to start sewing again and earn me some $$ to add this little beauty to my kitchen . Here are links to the review site and a picture of the Excaliber on Amazon.com Food Dehydrators. The Best Food Dehydrators to consider?
