| He stopped eating his food Harper was on Natural Balance from weaning, Until last week when we started dog training classes. The trainer said he was too skinny (which he is) and to add a little Bil-Jac to his food bowl for extra calories. Now he eats the Bil-Jac and throws the rest of his food all over the floor! I know Bil-Jac should not be his primary food and I don't WANT him eating it only. It also makes his stool ALOT looser, not good for a not yet potty trained puppy or my carpets. Do I stop adding the bil-jac? change to something like BB? HELP |

| Once you start Bil-Jac it's hard to break the dog from eating it. I don't know if it's something they add or just that it's softer but the dogs LOVE to eat that stuff. If it were me, I would stop adding it. |

| Too late to edit so: If you want him to have more calories, you could just feed more of his regular food or switch to a food with higher calories per cup. |

| He can't eat only BilJac if you don't put any in his bowl~just sayin' Shouldn't it be your vet telling you to add weight and not a dog trainer? How much of the NB were you feeding him at meals and how old is your pup?

| picky eater my Tito has the same problem. My vet tell me to add baby food (just meat jar like chicken or beef. No other ing.) and it works. And slowly take back the amount of baby food and its works for us. Good luck Tito Mom |

| He's 16 weeks, and his food is always down (fear of hypoglycemia) he weighs not quite 2 lbs. I'm trying to add weight to him thus adding the bil-jac. and No he want eat more of the NB, it's there all the time. The vet says he needs to add wt. too, but had no recommendations as to what else to give since he has food all the time. I think I'll go with the mixing baby food meat together w/NB. So he can't pick it out. |

| My question would be why is this puppy skinny. Was he just undereating the NB? What does the vet have to say about it? Skinniness with plenty to eat, in a pup esp., does signal that parasites could be present. Has your pup been dewormed (or at the very least a negative fecal)?
