| Food suggestions My mom feeds her yorkie as well as her to beagles Beneful and really I am very much not fond of that food but my moms older beagle has bad teeth so she needs a food that is not super hard like Callie's wellness core. She free feeds and doesn't want to do canned food. Can anyone recommend a food that she can try?

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | She can feed any high quality food, just put a small bit of warm water to soften up the food. You get the added bonus of some gravy.

| Beneful is pretty darn disgusting. Even a different variety of Purina would be better than Beneful, IMO. Full of sugar and artificial colors/flavors. Jackson can usually eat any kibble without stomach upset -- ate Beneful once and became so bloated and nasty, and threw up once. I have heard this is very common with Beneful. That's just the one kibble I find totally disgusting, LOL. The bag sure does make it seem pretty, huh? Any kibble would work... just soften it with some warm water, like said above. Or you could find a smaller kibble. Natural Balance offers a small bites, Fromm is REALLY tiny kibble, a lot of different foods offer small kibbles. I don't usually recommend this, but if the dogs are on Beneful right now, you could start "stepping up" by going to Purina One or Purina Beyond or something. I don't think the kibbles are too hard or big.

| I am not really sure of any softer kibbles. If she wants to stick with Purina, maybe Purina One Beyond- Pet Food with Natural Ingredients: Purina ONE beyOnd |
