Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Sweet Potatoes? Hey guys! This may be a silly question, but I don't know so I thought I would ask. I have heard many say and have read in books that many Yorkies love sweet potatoes. So my question is...how do you feed your Yorkie sweet potatoes? Are they cooked and mashed up for them? What about sweet potato baby food? I think I may of read where someones Yorkie likes those sweet potato puff things for toddlers. So I am curious, how do I give this a try with our Yorkie to see if she would enjoy them? Any suggestions/tips would be appreciated! Thanks!

| I love baking sweet potatoes for myself, and I give half a teaspoon to my (big) boys. Make sure it is cool and doesn't have anything added. It is a nice treat every once in awhile.

| Sweet potatoes are a big hit in my house. We eat the dehydrated and once in a while we get a lil bit of baked. I've never tried the baby food.

| I microwave my sweet potatoes usually. When they cool, I peel them and cut them into cubes and the dogs like them like that.

YT 1000 Club Member | Romeo loves sweet potatoes and regular potatoes! I peel, cube and boil (until tender). Once cool I add a dash of salt and/or butter before serving to Romeo and he cleans off his plate.

| My puppy loves sweet potatoes. I buy him "Loving Pets Gourmet Wraps Sweet Potato Wrapped with Chicken". Don't feed your yorkie baby food cause it might contain onion powder that is deadly to them. I only used baby food by, "Gerber second foods chicken and gravy" when enzo was 12-14 weeks and he would not eat anything else. |

| Maci loves dehydrated Yam&Sweet Potatoe sticks, I only give her all natural ones, and completely organic when I can find them. They are the only type of treat that doesn't upset her tummy or give her loose stool.
