| My baby has tonsillitis!!! Gracie has tonsillitis! She started running a fever yesterday with clear nose drippage (is that a word?) and watery eyes, and she's been fighting the cough/hacking/choking/gagging thing for over a month now, so I took her back to the vet. He said her throat was inflamed and her tonsils swollen, so she got a shot of antibiotic/anti-inflammatory and is on two meds, one which is an antibiotic and the other is a decongestant! She has barely eaten for two days and he said it's because her little throat is so sore that she doesn't want to swallow! On the good side...she's officially 2 lbs. now! She went from 1.4 to 2.0 in 3 weeks time!!!!! Guess her appetite isn't too bad when she's not sick!

| Oh poor little Gracie, bless her heart! I do hope now that she is on medi that she soon will be feeling better. Maybe trying canned food being it's softer will be easier for her to swallow, or baby foods?? Schatzie sends little puppy hugs her way and yeah on the weight gain, that is great news.

| Nutri-cal works well too. Make sure she eats, poor baby. When they are sick, they never want to eat. But they have to because they are sooo small. Hope she gets better soon. |

| Gracie ate a little bit of canned dog food this morning, about half the quantity she would usually eat. I gave her some ice cream last night (which she had NO problem eating! ) to try and soothe her sore throat plus get something in her besides NutriCal. She's been sleeping since about 8:00 this morning, just laying in her basket, and I have her covered up with a blankie so she's warm! I think Jasmine (our office mate) knows Gracie is sick because she's leaving her alone, and laying on the floor beside her basket, sleeping too!
