| New Yorkie! Hi, when can I take my new yorkie puppy outside for the first time? she is 10 weeks old and had her first set of shots. I already have one Yorkie but forgot the rules . is it after her second shots? I know I can take her out as long as she doesnt come near other pets' poops and pee, right? I know some people and breeders are very strict about this rule and others say its good for them to socialize and build their immune system... Thanks! |

| We took Gizmo outside when we got him for potty (3 months). But I didn't take him around other dogs until 4 months.

| They should stay at home until all shots are given. Parvovirus will kill your baby in a heart beat, it's not worth taking a chance. There is plenty of time for socializing later, when it's safer for baby. Congratulations on your new baby. |

| Here in the UK, the vets recommend 10-14 days after their final injection. Sally + Harry x |
