| Please be careful of chicken bones/chicken jerky! Here is what happen. (Copy and paste from my other posts) First post: Yesterday, I took my 7 month yorkie for a long walk. When we came home, she was throwing up white foam and when I feed her, she would threw up few pieces of her Royal Canine. I took her to the vet and they gave her IV fluid and some medication. Once we got home, I fed her chicken and rice, and she threw some of the food back out. Her tummy will growl (doesn't sound like hunger) and she doesn't want to eat or drink water. She pooped this morning, but she didn't pee at all. What else can I do? Just feed her the medication that the vet gave us? I'm really scared and have no idea what to do. I would gladly appreciate any comments or ideas of what to do! Second post: Baby Hailey has been throwing up after she eats for 4 days now. She has done an xray and has been on IV for 2 days now. Today, she did her blood panel and it shows everything is fine except her liver. The receptionist said Yorkies are prone to liver stunt. She's only 7 months!! Now, she's doing her bioscopy, hopefully they will find something inside her and remove it so baby Hailey will do better. If not, she has to do an ultrasound to see if she has liver, kidney failures. I am so lost right now, the breeder has a 1 year guarantee. If baby Hailey has a liver stunt, she will take her back and give me another puppy. But I'm pretty sure most of you know, replacing a puppy won't solve any problem when baby Hailey is so special. Should I keep her if she has liver stunt? I'm only a student and can't afford much of her vet bills now. For her current vet bills, I am on a loan. I just don't know what to do!! I hope everyone can pray for her and hopes it is just something blocking her from eating and that she does not have a liver stunt. RESULTS: RESULTS ARE BACK! Hailey is okay!! She had a tiny chicken bone in her esophagus and i gave her some chicken jerky. I hope everyone can keep in mind when you feed them chicken jerky to watch out! The chicken bone was blocking it but the chicken jerky made it worst!! So please supervise your pup when giving chicken jerky!! She is at home resting. She did a biospy that checked her esophagus, a bit of the liver and small intestine. But I guess once they saw what was in her esophagus, they removed it right away! THANK GOD! I dont know what to do if I lost her! PLEASE SEE BELOW AND SEE WHAT WAS IN HER ESOPHAGUS!! one tiny chicken one and the rest are chicken jerky! Please everyone, when feeding your little cutie pie or your little handsome one, be careful with chicken jerky. If it's not properly digested, this can happen! And get your pet insured! I totally forgot about insurance since this is my first pup. I'd pay $2,000 CAD for her vet bills! So pleasee, if your pup is sick, don't wait!! Go see a vet! It can be a life threatening issue! It won't hurt to pay for something you love. Your bills may cost a lot, but if you just shop less or eat out less, the total makes up for your pet's bill! I was fortunate enough to have a vet that allowed me to be on a payment plan and pay whenever I can. So please, don't wait and think your pet will heal! Yorkies are small animals and needs vet care for any signs of illness! Link to the picture of what was taken out of little Hailey. | I'm so sorry this happened to your baby. Did they not see that was lodged in her esophogus in the first xrays? I'm glad she is doing better. |

| No the xray did not show anything. The vet said the xray only shows "hard" objects. I'm assuming the bone and chicken jerky was something "soft"

| Forgot to mention, I didn't feed her chicken bone! While I was eating, she had her puppy eyes looking at me so I tried to let her lick a bit of meat off the bone and she snatch the bone away! I tried to choke her so she would throw up the bone but she didnt! After that, she acted normal so I thought it was okay!
