| Gus hasn't eatten since Sat. afternoon!!! If you see this twice,,, it's because I posted in the wrong topic. I had to leave Gus for for the weekend. And he did not eat the whole time I was gone. We finally took Cherish to go see her mother. It was a road trip! I thought it would be nice for the girls (me, my mom, my sister and her 2 month old baby girl and Cherish of course) to get away. All I can say is we are going to find another way next time! My husband and daughter were calling me almost every hour to check on me since I did the driving. And they told me Gus was all say just laying around and not wanting to play or eat. I figured he would be sad but would eat a little something sooner or later. I thought I was going to go nuts!!!!!!!!! With such a long drive I didn't feel we were going to ever get there so we can visit and hurry back. I did almost 15 hours of driving in a 31 hour period. And the whole time I was away all I did was worry! The vistit was very nice. My sister looked very good. Outside her being in there. But she had been so messed up before going in and after seeing her clean, she looked really good and most of all healthy. I was so happy to see her. And it was a joy seeing her and Cherish together. But with not cell phones I was growing more and more worried about Gus. I am so pleased that everything went good and my sister got to sher her daughter but. But I am really thinking about taking the train next time!!! Less time driving and less time away from my family and Gus! My poor Gus was so sad the whole time I was away. He had just gotting over the time I had to leave him while I was in the hospital. He hasn't eatten since Sat. My daughter has been giving him NutriStat 3 times a day. The moment I came in through the door he has been in my arms. The moment I put him down he starts crying and jumping up for me to pick him up. He has never done this before. I am hoping he's not sick. I have him some food but he wouldnt eat it not even by hand. I'm boiling some chicken for him now. I hope he eats it! I hate to see him so stressed everytime I have to leave him. What can I do to help him not stress so much?

| Lacey was the same way. Grieved terribly whenever we had to leave her. We once had to leave her at the kennel when we went on vacation. Because we could not find anyone to watch her. They had a difficult time getting her to eat. We never left her again at a kennel. If we could not bring her with us, we made sure somebody was at the house to care for her. Lacey was a total lap dog. If company came over, she had to be in your lap the whole time. Or she would cry and scratch at your leg until you picked her up. She was spoiled rotten for us. |

| Well Gus ate a little more last night but I had to hand feed him. This morning I don't have to be holding him all the time. He didn't want his breakfast. I know he's hurngry because I can hear his tummy growling.
