| Warm blooded? Aren't dogs noses supposed to be cold? Lexi's nose is very warm. It has been warm since we picked her up 6.5 months ago. Otherwise, she is healthy. Also, she makes me sweat when she sleeps on my lap because of the body heat she gives off. She's 8 months old, 5 pounds, and her girth is 13". Is this unusual? I never thought to bring it up to the vet and we're not scheduled to go back until June. |

| I think this is normal. Dogs body temp is higher than ours. I read this somewhere before I got Tini. She is always warm to my touch. As far as their nose being cold/wet all the time, that is not the case. Tini's nose is usually dry at different times during the day, like when she is sleeping or just woke up. I bet that your Lexi's nose is cold/wet sometimes, you just don't happen to check then. I remember I freaked out the first time I noticed Tini's nose wasn't cold/wet. Then I searched on the internet and found out it was normal. I guess this assumes she is not having any other issues of course. If your vet doesn't think there is a problem then you are fine.
