| Jovi ate... cat food! We are cat sitting and the cat gets wet food in the evening - so I put 1/4 can of the food out ( in the basement) for the cat - Jovi eats in the kitchen... she got in the basement and was chowing down when I caught her - licking her chops - she seemed to love it! Now I'm worried - any harmful effects I need to worry about? She seems fine and happy?? |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | This happens sometimes... Dangit! I nanny for a family who has a diabetic cat that has to eat wet food before she gets an insulin shot. Once Taycie got to it.. and it gave her horrid diaherra.. I did call my vet, and she said, don't be to worried, this happens sometimes and she probably has an upset stomach. Everything cleared up within 24 hours and I always makes sure I know where the cat food is before I let Taycie out of her crate when I get there

| No worries. Sometimes cat food is even recommended for dogs. But it does tend to be higher in nutrients (including fat) which isn't good for Yorkies in most cases. Most likely will not be a problem. Now I see this thread is older. She will be fine.
