| Depending on your needs: Frontline Frontline Plus Advantage Advantage II Advantix Advantix II Advantage Multi Program Sentinel Also Revolution, Trifexis, and Comfortis, but my personal preference is to avoid these ones entirely. A lot of it will be based on what your vet recommends, how bad ticks are in your area, etc. I use Sentinel or Frontline Plus as needed. Are you currently giving a heartworm preventative?

| I use Sentinel and have switched to Minksheen shampoo which has a natural insect repellent in it.

| I use Sentinel and Frontline Plus, and this combination works for us. I've never tried buying it from any kind of discount site - I've always bought from the vet.

| I have to use K9 Advantix in the hot summer months here because ticks are so bad. We use Frontline for the rest of the year, so approx. October-April. Heartworm meds are called Iverhart Plus.

| I use Frontline top spot, it was recommended by my vet- I think it is best to go with the vets recommendations because they know what works and doesn't work in your area.

| While Minksheen may aid in the repelling of fleas, I've never found it to completely stop a flea from hopping aboard, and does nothing to kill the flea if it does. It's kinda like how lighting citronella candles all over your yard might minimize mosquitoes but doesn't stop all bites.

Yes, I understand that could happen. Lol. Thanks for the information. I wish it did stop them and the ticks too!! The Sentinel helps prevent them from spreading and when it gets bad I add Advantix. But usually the Advantix is more for Ticks. Luckily, fleas are not as bad for me as ticks have been. The combo of the three seems to be doing the trick!!

| I put Frontline Plus for Sparky. We were gonna go with advantage multi but they were out so he gave me frontline plus and heartguard sample.
