| Eating GRASS...digestion issues?? Hey guys, I have a 5 year female yorkiethat weighs about 5 1/2 pounds. For about 2 weeks now, everytime I let her outside to potty she wants to munch on grass until she vomits. I know that they eat grass occasionally when they digestion issues, but she will not stop. She acts fine normally. No diarrhea, no other vomiting and she eats normally. Its such a pain because I have to clean her face about twice a day because the vomit and grass gets stuck in her hair, its very messy. Any suggestion as to why she might be doing this?? Thanks! |

| Jackson eats grass all the time. I think he just likes it. But he does not vomit- so I'd be worried her tummy was hurting her.

| As long as I give my wheaten terrier( a confirmed grass eater) green beans on a regular basis she rarely goes for the grass( between the vomit and messy poop-yeeww). The Taste of the Wild -pacific stream has also helped tremendously. NO people food- I know as soon as my DH sneaks her something! |

| Well, I do feed my dogs some of those freez dried veggies for dogs. i mix it in with their food about 2-4 times a week. About a month ago I started cooking for my dogs, ground turkey or chicken with brown rice and I mix in the veggies. i feed them this about once a day. their second meal is their regular dogfood. I spend alot money to feed them high quality dogfood, due to food allergies and my other yorkies pancreatitis. They just seem to not like their food for the past few months and I got sick of throwing it away because they wouldnt eat. This is why I started cooking for them. Do you guys think this food could be causing her digestion issues. She gobbles it right up and I dont put any seasonings on their food, its strictly plain. Thanks, |

| Lucy eats grass all the time on our walks and she has not been sick, etc. If we stop because my other dog wants to sniff something, etc., Lucy will take that opportunity to chomp on a little grass. Off topic, she has also been taking that opportunity to eat the DRIED WORMS on the sidewalk. It's gross and making me so mad!!
