| bath time after flea/tick meds I just gave the dogs their topical flea/tick medications last night after I found a tick had bitten down on my body yesterday. How long until I can give them a bath? Their hair is all greasy in that area now, but I don't want to make it less effective by bathing them too soon.

| I think most say 24-48hrs. Frontline states: FRONTLINE Brand Products remain effective for 30 days, even if a pet swims or is bathed. After application, keep the dog or cat from getting wet until the application area appears dry, usually 24 hours. If a FRONTLINE Brand Product is to be applied after a bath, make sure the pet is completely dry before application. I also HATE the greasyness that it gets on Jackson's hair! Ugh. I put Frontline on him last night but luckily, it's pretty dried up this AM. I had one tube of Frontline left so wanted to get use out of it... hopefully it works for us, as usually in summer Frontline doesn't work as well, so we've gotta use K9 Advantix (which he'll be going on next month).

| That's what I was thinking... about 24 hours. I used First Shield and I didn't see anything on there about getting wet or baths. It's not really a big deal. I'll give them a bath tomorrow just to be on the safe side.

| I always wait at least 48 hours and until you don't see any residue left on their hair from the treatment. Better safe then sorry- because you don't want to have to put it on again in the same month.
