| I don't know what types of foods he can eat with his IBD but have you tried some canned food? or adding boiled chicken or ground meat to his food? Sweet Potatoes, cottage cheese, yogurt, baby food? Talk to your vet about what types of foods he can eat and try giving him some of those.

| Have you taken him to the vet to make sure he is not in pain - the only time my Cricket would not eat was when she was in pain or sick? She had GI issues and ate Royal Canine GI formula canned which she loved to eat if she was feeling well. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I agree ask the vet what foods you can try without upsetting his tummy. I know when I have a picky eater they will usually eat Cesars wet food but it is junk food. I hope he starts eating for you.

| At nine years old, your little Boop is in his "golden years". Any drastic change in appetite warrants a trip to the vet to be sure that all is well. |

| How long has he gone without eating? How much does he weigh and how much do you give him to eat? What are you feeding him?

| Let the vet do a thorough checkup with all labs, fecal, Ua and maybe even x-rays of his back, major joints, just to be on the safe side. Hope he is okay as I know you must be worried sick. Let us know how your little gentleman is getting on when you can.

If everything checks out at the vet you may want to consider changing foods- he may just be bored with this current food- these yorkies have been known to be picky little buggers. Please let us know how everything goes.

| My prayers are with you and Boopie. You are often in my thoughts, and with the exception of your worries over Boopie, I hope each day is getting easier for you. My Ashley was almost seventeen when she passed away, and she was always an incredibly picky eater. We struggled to find things that she would eat, and I'm sure that reinforced her refusal to eat unless it was something she particularly liked...that day! She had dementia, IBD, and gas pockets caused from trachea issues which made things more difficult. We also had a number of pills she needed to take, so getting her to eat became even more imperative. She was very active until days before she died, and sometimes we didn't understand why she wouldn't eat. I would definitely have him checked out to be sure and also check his teeth. We suspected part of Ashley's problem was her teeth, and once her doctor was reasonably sure she could survive anesthesia, we did a dental on her. It made a huge difference in what my little girl would eat.

| In Friscos 17 years, he's challenged us many times with what he likes to eat....stubborn ol' man....we have now got him eating Evangers canned, and Natural Balance....he seems to favor the Natural Balance with Lamb at the moment...tomorrow could be a different storie. You should get to the vet and have him checked to be sure it's all attitude....could be dental issue |
