Donating YT 500 Club Member | Nature's Variety Instinct LID! Very Interested! I am always checking out new diets for the super sensitive, especially since Taycie's stomach is so touchy. Wanted to pass this along.. I think maybe someday I might try it. I am nervous and probably will wait for reviews to pop up and see how dogs are doing on it. I just hate to throw again another food at her very touchy stomach. But Ingredient wise it looks great! It is higher protein/fat then most LID diets. I think both are 29% protein and 18% fat.. This is a major plus for some as they like to see the higher protein! I was excited to see no fish, not even salmon oil! Major bonus points! http://www.naturesvariety.com/Instinct/dog/kibble//LIDlamb http://www.naturesvariety.com/Instinct/dog/kibble/LIDturkey

| They both look very nice. Sadly, they are both proteins my dogs can't eat, but if they were I would give them a try!

| I just found out about these 2 new varieties last week, and I'm excited to try them. I like the grain free combined with a little lower protein. I'll probably buy one of these once the bag we're on now gets low.

| I saw these a few weeks ago and have been waiting for them to come out. Looks pretty decent... but where is all the protein coming from? With only one named meat source?

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | These look awesome. I have been wanting to try nature's variety instinct but haven't because of the high protein count and morgan's slight liver issue.

| One of Ellie's old diets was 28% protein. It was just less than 1/2 can of tuna (40g) and 114g of rice. So it doesn't take much to make a food high protein...

I may wanna give this LID a try. Jackson also did great on NV Instinct but I always thought the fat was pushing it (I think it was 22%).

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Soooooo..... I went to the local pet shop this morning. She had the new LID formulas in. She of course convinced me to buy a bag and try it, and If all else fails I can always bring it back. Of course, I broke down and did. I am nervous to incorporate a new diet right now, only because Taycie is so extremely sensitive, but I figure we can just try a little here and there at a time. Protein wise, it looks so good! It is nice to see a higher protein value compared to most LID formulas. Fat wise, I always get nervous. 18% doesn't seem to high.. I just always worry regardless. When I brought it home I gave her a few pieces of the kibble. She got super excited about it!!! So that is a good thing.. I was bummed the kibble was smaller. I do know many do better with smaller kibble but my girl likes to crunch! It also keeps her from eating so fast as well.. She actually has to slow down and chew her food. Guess we will see... Crossing my fingers for no major blow outs...

| Starting feeding the cat variety to our cat. She has major digestive issues (vomits often). No foods seem to agree with her. And she would not touch NB. She gobbles this up So far so good

I also liked what the website said about Tapioca which is used in alot of their other formulas as well. I sure hope it helps her little tummy! Tapioca is a starch derived from the root of the cassava plant; it is grain-free and gluten-free. There are no known allergies to tapioca, and many veterinary teaching hospitals incorporate tapioca into their hypoallergenic, homemade recipes for food allergies and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). We use tapioca in our grain-free Instinct kibble. Without some sort of natural binder, the ingredients in our grain-free kibble would not hold together for the cooking process.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | They have either Turkey or Lamb in LID. I went with Turkey, I could have gone with Lamb, she seems to do fine on either of those proteins. She was awfully excited about it

| I don't know why I said duck. I was thinking about getting a bag of the Turkey LID - it's good to know your baby really likes it!
