| vitamins/supplements for joints Veruca just had her 1 year old check up & shots and I asked the vet to check her patellas. The vet thinks that she has luxating patellas bilaterally, but since she doesn't have any problems walking, running, and hopping she doesn't need any treatment yet. That said, she told me there are supplements for dogs' joints... I figure she meant Glucosamine and Chondroitin, but does anyone have any supplement experience... what brands/dosage, etc? Veruca is 4.3lbs and almost 1.5 years old. Thanks for the advice! |

| I have taken those personally but no dog experience. My Jilly had LP diagnosed but never severe enough to cause limping or surgical correction. I don't think she ever subluxed or dislocated other than when being manipulated by the vet. They didn't really help me much due to severity of the problem but some people say those supps help them.
