| How to Find Reviews on a New Vet A lot of little changes have happened that are causing me a little bit of stress. The biggest thing being that Khloe's vet moved his family and his practice 2 hours away. I trust him with all that I have, and I'm having a hard time giving other vets a chance because he is so good. Is there a place online for reviews for vets? Unless it is a dire emergency, she will see her old vet for her scheduled appointments (even though he is so far away), but I know that I need someone I can trust closer in case of an emergency. (Angie's List fell short of vet reviews in my area for some reason.) I'm one of those crazy people that sticks with the same doctors, hair stylists, vets, etc. when I find them to provide a quality service. I guess you could say I am not too fond of change either.

| Hmm, Angie's List was going to be my suggestion. You can check this site for a AAHA accredited vet, but you may not find one close since it's not required. AAHA Resources For Pet Owners http://www.aahanet.org/graphics/headerline.jpg www.healthypet.com Whatever vet you do choose, just keep in mind that not all of them take emergencies and a majority of the ones that do require you to be a regular client (since you said you'll be traveling to your established vet for routine exams, just wanted to let you know). Good luck on your search

| Ask your old vet for a recommendation. Chances are he knows a good one that he would recommend. I am a lot like you, and like sticking with the ones I feel are the best. There are good vets, and some not so good. |

| vetratingz.com is a good one. The problem though is that some of these reviews are far from accurate. Offices can have somebody do a good review for them (a staff member). Some clients give low reviews just because of cost, etc. So I'd say this is not a great way to find a vet. When in doubt, go with an AAHA certified office. Other than that, it's trial and word of mouth (and making sure nothing really bad was said about a place).

| I found our vet mostly because the practice is AAHA certified. There are several in the Charlotte area. Sorry Khloe's vet is moving away...that is hard, especially since you are so attached to him!

| Go by word of mouth... We found our vet through a friend... We absolutely love our vet... We board our dog there once or twice a year for a night or two and he always comes out so happy... They've also been really great as far as check ups etc.

| I agree with Shodan. Ask your vet for a recommendation. A lot of local vets know each other.

| Asking your vet for a recommendation seems like a great idea. I went through one not-so-good vet before I found mine now....It's scary trusting your baby to someone you don't know. I talked to the head animal control officer at the local shelter, whom I knew to be a dog owner and lover, and asked her what her experiences were at some of the area vets. She gave my current vet a good review and then after reading all completely positive reviews on the local yahoo yellow pages, I gave them a try and they are the best...and a bonus is that they also the cheapest around! Everyone I've now spoken to since, who takes their pet there, loves the clinic.
