| Lead Crystal bowls? I found a beautiful lead crystal feeding dish for pets today. Can anyone tell me if they are safe to use? I normally use stainless steel but this one is so pretty I had to have it. I don't want to use it if there is a possibility of any of the lead leaching out into the food or water though. Maybe that's not even a possibility but I wanted to check before using it. |

| I don't think I would use it for water. Dry kibble should be okay as long as you don't leave it sitting in there. I found this link... Full Lead Crystal Decanter? - Discuss Cooking - Cooking Forums Hope dome one else with more knowledge on this can pipe in.

| Stainless steel is the best. I wouldn't take the chance of using lead crystal.

| Well, that is disappointing but it's still a beautiful bowl. Maybe I'll have my husband's name engraved in the personalization area and he can use it for his wrapped, hard candy |

| I bet that would make a beautiful Father's Day present for the furboys to give to daddy. |

| I love the look of lead crystal....have several liqour (sp) decantors....but, because of the lead value in them....they're just beautiful dust collectors now.
