| The common method is to make the transition over the period of a week. I just switch their food. It doesn't bother any of my girls. |

| You mean just to dry food? Are you currently doing wet/dry mixed? That may be a tough one. I know for Jackson it'd be difficult to get him to eat properly without me mixing it. You could start by just adding a bit of parm. cheese on top of their food, and then lessen the amount each day?

| Just start mixing the dry in and adding less and less of the canned each day until there is none left.

| Yes, that is what I would do, mix the canned in with the kibble , and then gradually mix the canned food in less and less. Until they are eating just the kibble all the time. Feeding kibble is a lot better on their teeth too.

YT 2000 Club Member | Thanks for your replies. I mix thier dry food with a little bit of wet, for my 2 smaller dogs its about a teaspoon full maybe a little bit more for my bigger dogs, I use a couple of teaspoons. I finally found a decent food that all of my dogs can eat, however I dont have a local store that carries it, so I have to order it online. Even though I dont go through a lot of canned its still cheaper to keep them on just dry. For the case alone of food is 25 ish dollars and thats not including shipping you add dry with that and the price gets up there. I tried the parm. cheese and it gave Tucker the runs and my other dogs really didnt care for it much except for my beagle but Im convinced she would eat anything..anyways the other option is to put them on a different food that I can find local. Our Tractor Supply in town (they just opened about 2 months ago..wooohooo ) now carries Wellness and Merrick along with totw and blue buffalo/wilderness.. Weve tried totw several times, they wont eat the dry after awhile they do like the canned but it stinks..lol.. we have also tried Merrick and they liked it but they had alot of red coloring to thier eyes, feet, etc. havent tried blue or wellness (other than samples I received) but what Ive heard about wellness lately with the runny poo and eyes Im not ready to jump on the food, since natures variety has helped so much with my dogs eye drainage.. so thats where Im at.. probably more than you wanted to read..lol.. any and all advice welcome..
