| False pregnancy - only behavioural changes Maisie hasn't been herself since her 2nd heat (mid feb)-about 7 weeks ago. she was throwing up bile once a morning for about a week in the 4th week, I am thinking morning Sickness- took her to the vets and her temperature was slightly high and he said it was dietary. He felt her abdomen and nipples etc and said it wasnt a false pregnancy, though her abdomen has filled out. He said this Was just natural at her age. She doesn't really seem sick, she loves walks, barks at cats, when the door goes etc but isn't herself. She has very little interest in her toys, won't play with Toby, lies about a lot but not lethargic and is alert, more picky than normal with her food.she is not nesting, or paying any attention to teddy bears. I have read that hormones are elevated for the length of a pregnancy. Has anyone experienced strange behaviour for a few months after a heat cycle? I hate seeing her like this, but there doesn't seem to be anything physically wrong with her. (and she isn't spayed because I lost my last bitch to a spay (different vet) and am too scared) |
