Sasha eats primal raw in the morning (1 1/2 nuggets) and kibble (Acana) in the evening. Before I started feeding her raw, she was getting 1/4 cup of kibble a day split into 2 meals (1/8 cup twice a day). I wasn't 100% sure how to split the food amount once I started the raw but figured since I was only feeding 1 meal of kibble that it seemed right to feed 1/8 cup of kibble for dinner. It seemed to be working for awhile and she's at a good weight. For a few days however, she would wake up in the early morning hours and would throw up bile. Sometimes it wouldn't come all the way up and sometimes it would. I didn't think much of it when she did it the first day but when it continued to happen for a few days, I began to think that I was feeding her too little. Plus with the weather finally starting to get somewhat nicer (although as I'm typing this, it's currently sleeting outside and there's a slight dusting on the ground
) I began taking her for short walks. I increased her dinner to 1/4 cup. She eats it all with no problems or hesitation. Does anyone think it's too much of a food increase? I've always been paranoid about her getting fat. Working at a pet store, I see tons of extremely overweight dogs everyday and always said I would never let my dogs ever get that large. Any opinions would be appreciated.
