| Cider Vinegar question I have heard that putting cider vinegar in the dogs drinking water will act as a flea repellant. Is there any truth to this? I hate having to put chemicals on my furbabies and I haven't seen any fleas in years, but noticed some flea dirt on Beamer's coat today. He was bathed on Wednesday and the groomer didn't see any fleas on him then. If the cider vinegar works, how much do you put in their drinking water? Or is there any other safe way to protect against fleas?

| Thanks Rhonda It says a few drops in the water - hmmmm I usually don't trust E-how (I have seen wrong information on there before). Was wondering if anyone here has actually added the cider vinegar to their dogs water and if it worked.

| Ha ha! Sorry. Don't know anything about them. Must be like Wikipedia! I always tell my students to find another source. I have never used it but would be curious myself. In Arkansas fleas and ticks are really BAD!

I add acv to my dogs water.. about 1/2 teaspoon (less.. I just use the cap or the bottle) to a quart pitcher. The tear stains on my white dog are a lot better. I don't know about fleas, I use flea preventive.
