| Picky eater Please help. I have a 9 week old baby girl that is VERY picky, and wants NOTHING to do with DRY food. What can I feed her that also gets her a HEALTHY BALANCED diet? Thanks for your help and advice, this has been such a learning experience in the last 3 days! And I thought I did my homework. ha

| I had the same problem with my girls when they were little ...just refused to eat anything!!! Are you feeding premium food? If you have a feed and grain store near you..or a pet specialty shop..many times they offer free samples of premium dog foods...you could try to obtain free samples...see if your baby likes any of those...My picky eaters really liked Canadai...they are on Natural balance now..and LOVE it...Others swear by Blue Buffalo..and Taste of the wild...you could try mixing a little wet with your dry...see if that helps interest your little one a bit more.. This link tells you how the food you are feeding ranks out of 5 stars...check it out. Dog Food Ratings by Brand

| 9 weeks is very young; you have to make sure she eats and drinks. Did the breeder not send her home with any food? Hypoglycemia is an issue with the young, tiny dogs - so have some nutrical on hand if she is not eating properly. Try some different samples if she is not eating anything. Consider putting on her kibble: organic or homemade chicken broth (no salt or seasoning); cooked carrots; cottage cheese; sprinkling with a little parmesean cheese OR mixing with some canned food.

| The Breeder did send me home with samples that she refuses to eat! The breeder said since she is so small she needs to get some fat for the first 3 weeks, so she said feed her cooked chicken and braunsweiger. (YEA NICE HUH) I have broughten several different types of food for her. I do know that she is hooked on pupperoni treats, and she loves hamburger, and chicken and that braunsweiger, but its all high in fat and not good for her at all, I do not want to keep feeding her all this. I might try that buffalo and the wild one too just to get her some different foods. She is very picky.... does not like dry foods at all. She is hooked on human food. Please don't yell at me, I am trying to get her off of the naughty stuff and onto a balanced diet. I also have a stock supply of her nutri-cal.
