| IVet dog food So when I got Bella the breeder had her on Eukanuba petite puppy bites. When I took her to the vet he switched her to the IVet puppy food. She eats it, but she really hesitates. She doesn't eat it as good as she did the Eukanuba. She eats little bits throughout the day, but I just don't feel it's enough. Also, I recently found out that my mom is feeding her in the morning before she goes to work the wet dog food she feeds her toy poodle. I have repeatedly asked her to stop, so now she does it behind my back. She is becoming spoiled to this I'm afraid. So, even with the little bit of wet food in the am and the little bit of dry food throughout the day as long as she's growing I shouldn't be worried right? I do, however, really DO NOT want her eating ANYTHING but dry dog food (and the occasional bite of ice cream) I give her. My mom's dog has HORRIBLE breathe and major teeth problems and I don't want this for Bella. Has anyone else heard of the IVet and are you using it. What are your thoughts please? Thank you

| Wow that's a tough one. If you've asked your mom not to feed her wet food but she does it behind your back, you're gonna find it hard to keep Bella on just dry food. You may want to explain to your mom, that it is your wish to only feed your dog dry food and please do not feed her behind your back. As for the new dry food, if she doesn't like it, try something else. |

| Thanks for your reply. I thought about putting her back on Eukanuba, but am worried if the vet is adamant on her eating the IVet that I would be doing her wrong in some way. Or not feeding her the "best" in his professional opinion. Which I guess doesn't really matter at the end of the day if she doesn't like it very much. When I asked him about this, he said she would eventually come around if that is her only choice. Well, she hasn't really, so I have a decison to make.

| I personally feed Jackson kibble mixed with wet food. I don't think adding canned food to a diet is going to make his teeth bad. Regardless if you feed kibble, canned or raw, teeth brushing and maintenance is VERY important. I've fed Jackson kibble and canned for over 2yrs now and his teeth are really white with a tiny bit of tarter on the canine teeth (but I only brush once a week, sometimes once every other week, not nearly enough). He also gets bully sticks and Himalayan chews which help scrape off tarter. I also like adding canned for the added moisture. But if you're dead-set against canned, you can search around for a kibble she will eat. Eukanuba is not what I'd call a high quality kibble, but I've never heard of IVet before. Alot of companies send out free samples and Luke's All Natural online pet store sells a $20 thing where they send you a bunch of different food samples to try out! Good luck!
