| Orijen changes formula? I know Orijen was going to change from 70-30, to an 80-20 (protein-other stuff) but I wasn't expecting them to change the adult formula's ingredients. It went from poultry to a poultry fish. I'm sad. I don't know if Kaji will like it. I bought a sample bag of the new poultry fish formula and I hope it goes over well with my little man. I have enough of the old stuff to feed him for 5 days. What am I going to do if he doesn't like it? The people at the dog boutique tried and tried to find a bag of the old stuff for me. They were out.

| I dunno I just heard about the change myself.... I feed Jackson the Regional Red formula and he always did perfect on it. It was the dog food he did best on (in terms of loving the taste, his poops were perfect, skin healthy, hair shiny, etc, etc) and our local store was out of it for about 2 months so last week I went in and they finally had it... so for a week he's been eating the RR but some of his poops have been runny Not all... but like once a day he will have a little runny mushy poo. I didn't do any transitioning because he usually doesn't need it so I'm going to give it more time and see how he does by the end of the bag but I'm gonna be sad if something was changed that just doesn't agree with his system :\ I hope it's just him getting used to it again- he's been eating Go! Endurance with no problems.

| Kaji doesn't need a transitional period either. So far, every food change that I've done, we've gone cold turkey and he's done well. I'm with you on the good solid poops, the shiny coat, (well, as shiny as a soft coat can get) and the nice pink healthy skin. He use to have ashy skin, and now he doesn't. I think I'll transition him for now and see how that goes. I'm thinking of starting him off with the new adult formula as treats just to see how he likes the taste. For someone who gulps down his food, Kaji is really picky on taste. I guess we'll see how this goes.
