| I use Petplan also. I've filed a few claims with them and I've never been dissatisfied. No questions asked and my reimbursement check is received within a week of filing a claim. I know with Petplan there is a medical record release form that needs to be signed and returned to them. They need to make sure there are no pre-existing conditions prior to filing any claims or you may run the risk of future claims being denied. As with anything, read the fine print. An article from a vet's experience with Petplan: http://www.foundersvet.com/blog/inde...tack/#more-161

After reading YT messages how owners had to spend a lot of money on sick Yorkies, I decided to put Blue on PetPlan. My vet said that it is a good insurance. I know that some YTers don't have good experience with it. There are bad reviews about PetPlan online, too. So far, I am very happy with it. Last November, they sent me the magazine and a calendar. I thought it was very nice of them. Last edited by Blue Sake; 02-20-2011 at 01:33 PM.

myself and several friends have Trupanion up here in Toronoto. Haven't used it yet so I cannot comment on the efficiency, the coverage is great though.

I'm bumping this thread, because I got a check for $515.00, yesterday, from PetPlan...I have the inexpensive policy (Bronze) which is $200 deductible, and I pay 10% of the balance...They seemed to have paid for everything, except maybe the RX i/d...However, I was very pleased...If anyone decides to get PetPlan, I sure hope they weill use me as a referral, as I will get a free month... My name is Maggie Hammerle in Webster, Texas... I pay about $36 a month for Apple & Buzz...I'm thinking about putting Cha Cha on there, now, because it really has helped...I think it's about $19 a month for the Bronze plan, but I was grandfathered in @ $17, for Apple, but when her year is up, this time, I guess I'll be paying $19 a month for her too...Hope this info helps, and hope someone will refer me

I have petplan also. I just filed my first claim and I expect to have zero problems. I have thread where I will be posting my experience. I think for the amount of coverage Pet Plan seemed to be a great value when I was researching which insurance to purchase.
