O&M Holistic Puppy Pride? help?! I have been trying to find the right food for Maximus. I'm getting a little overwhelmed with information. Good ingredients/Bad ingredients/critical ingredients/beware & run away ingredients! I need help?! Has anyone heard of O&M Puppy Pride? Link to O&M Holistic Puppy Pride This comes HIGHLY recommended by the pet supply store attendant. When I brought Maxi home, the "breeder" (sorry guys, I don't like Ivan anymore-- ) sent him home with Eukanuba & Cesar's and told me to feed him chicken nuggets, scrambled eggs and roast beef. I hesitated with the human food, but broke down and gave him scrambled eggs last week. I mixed it in a little with the Ceasar's and let some sit plain side by side. He ate a reasonable amount of it. Since his visit to the vet, due to kennel cough and conjunctivitis, he has been put on antibiotics and had been given 3 cans of the wet Prescription food. Wasn't too crazy about that either. Maximus turns his nose up at everything. He only eats when he's starving. I just gave him this new food I'm trying last night (O&M) and I also brought the Wellness wet puppy food. I mixed 5 pieces of the O&M with the wet and he ate some of it. Then I put a bowl of the dry alone and he ate about 3 -5 pieces of it. Chewing is such hard work for Maxi!!! Was I wrong to completely switch over without weaning him? He just seems to hate Eukanuba & Ceasar's so much and I want to get him on a GOOD nutritionally balanced and "safe" food. I'm curious to know if someone else has tried O&M or heard anything about it? I don't see anything previously posted about it. I'm getting a little distressed. Please help.

| No, and Wellness is extremely good food - you need NEVER give him anything else to eat dear If you see his poop getting too hard for your liking, out a little oliveoil in the food. Maybe he has a hard time chewing but it is so good for his teeth So you have done the right thing in my opinion

I think that if Maxi wasnt eating the Eukannoba is ok that you switch it without weaning(sp). Just keep an eye on him. Wellness is a good food. I have never herad of O&M Puppy food but the ingredients seem to be pretty good. I hope Maximus likes it. Good luck.

I hope you can find a good food for your pup. When they are small, Royal Canin has good sized kibble because they are smaller than the others. That being said, I personally don't think that it is a great food. At around 4 months I switched Chewy to Natural Balance and hav been very happy. The ingredients are top notch with no fillers. The food you posted seems to be good...you can try those or Wellness, Canidae, Chicken Soup. Anything with NO by-products or corn. I'm crazy about the food. It's the one thing you should really spend the most on. If you have any questions, you can feel free to pm me, I have done tons of research...

Thank you sooo much, guys. He's been eating the wellness wet food and will pick at the O&M. It's a start! He likes it when I hand feed him- I literally have to scoop the food onto my fingers and he'll lick it off. I leave the food down constantly now instead of taking it up after 15 mins. He does go back and forth to it.
