| [I]I have a 4 1/2 pound 18mos. female. She had trouble with the Heartgard giving her diarrhea and making her droopy for a couple days. The vet put her on Interceptor chewable tablets. These have been easier on her tiny body and she doesn't mind taking them. We use Frontline but I don't put the whole vial on her little body. She's sensitive to meds and I'm careful to err on the less than the more. We have a pom/rat terrier mix (4 1/2 yrs.) also and she's been on Heartgard her whole life. She does fine and loves the things. I'm sure your vet knows what's best for your puppy but our little Missy does better on Interceptor for small dogs. | My poodle and yorkiepoo, both about 12-13 pounds both take Heartguard but the vet prescribed Interceptor for my yorkie who weighs just about 4 pounds. She said it was easier on the smaller dogs. I use Frontline on them for fleas. |

| I give Biscuit Revolution because it is convenient to just give him one medication for heartworm, fleas, ticks, roundworms, hookworms, and ear mites.Especially since he visits a lot of dog parks, it's nice to know those are all covered! |
