| Baby teeth need to be removed My Neko's (7months)baby canine teeth have not fallen out and his adult teeth have come in. I have been trying to give them a chance to fall out on their own but is seems like he might need to get the baby teeth pulled. I called his vet and they want 800.00 to do this I know it has to be a cheaper vet in the Chicagoland/Oak Park area. He was neutered when I got him so that's not included in the estimate. Can someone please help me I know it can be expensive to take care of a yorkie but I feel some of these prices are ridiculous. |

| I am new here and live in Nova Scotia but I had my furbaby neutered this week and his dew claws removed (he kept catching them in my sofa material)and none of his baby teeth were out either so they pulled them too all for 224.00and that included 3 bandage changes during the week for his legs ...nor sure why it was so much cheaper here .... |

| Wow OMG that's not bad, that's why I'm shopping around petsmart wants almost 600.00 and three other private vets want 530.00 this is just highway robbery. |

| Honestly, I think that around $500 is about the going rate. A basic dental is usually around $300. It does take a bit more work to take the canine teeth out. Vets charge more for those teeth. I do think that $800 is outrageous!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | The expense is the anethesia, and after that its only 5-15 dollars a tooth, depending on your vet. Most people have this done with neutering so the cost it really minimal. Does the vet say it needs to be done right away, are adult teeth crowded? Some people say that they have waited to closer to a year, and played lots of tug of war games and the teeth came out, but I don't know if this is common. I personally wouldn't wait too long, because a double row of teeth can cause problems. Is your doctor doing a blood panel too?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Wow, 70 dollars for a baby tooth? The $5.00 to $15.00 per tooth was just my take on what others on YT said about the cost of baby tooth removal, and of course that didn't include anything else.

| IMO~$800 for baby teeth is am outrageous amount of money. When all of mine were spayed/neutered the baby teeth were removed for FREE. I think your first issue is that you are using Petsmart. Their prices are very high and the care is average at best. Have you tried private vets in your area? I also think that being north of the city is also a factor in the prices that you are getting. If you are not worried about the drive (maybe 45 minutes if that) my suggestoin would be to try here: Animal Clinic They have a very good reputation in my area, offer very reasonable prices and do dentals as well. They use to have a price list for dentals on their site but I couldn't find it today. But if my memory is correct it was about $100.

| Teddy had 6 baby teeth removed at the time of neutering and it was $6 per tooth for the extractions but my vet only charged me for 4 teeth.
