| For Vinnie, we always divide up any shots he must have so that he only receives one shot per visit. Upon receiving multiple shots in the past, he became quite ill. My vet also offers titer testing for some of the vaccines to see if the shot is really necessary. For the distemper, for example, Vinnie has always had adequate antibodies such that additional shots were not necessary. Also, you should really consider which shots are necessary. Bordatella is only necessary if your dog is kenneled. Even when I take my dogs to be groomed, they do not absolutely require a bordatella (although they do recommend it).

| Wow!!! Way too many even split up. The core vaccines (most all dogs should have them) are distemper, parvo, hepatitis, and rabies. The rest are only if a pup is at high risk. Corona is totally unnecessary. The flu shot, I guess that is up to interpretation, but it is not something I'd give. Research lepto a ton before giving. Don't give rabies on the same day as other vaccines. If your pup has had a one year DHPP booster, then the AAHA says you don't have to give it for three years. Or other studies show even less often is fine. Something that takes a lot of studying on the part of the owner. I'd be very concerned with the practicing style of a vet who decided all of those were necessary.

That tech, I could never figure out if it is he or she is no longer there. So the DHLPP is not needed for three years? | |

| Have you read the vaccine thread in the YT Library? After the one year booster, the DHPP does not need to be given for 3 years. Some of us give it even less often (but be sure you research a lot before deciding to do that). Lepto is different. That needs to be given yearly if given at all. Techs and I have nothing to talk about when it comes to vaccines. Subject is closed. That is between me and the vet. Just tell them you don't want to talk about it...

| We do the DHPP every three years, Rabies every 3 years, and Bordetella (required for day care). We don't do the others. |
