| "Fast eater" choking. Now that Tricksie has a sibling, she eats so fast that she chokes. Any suggestions? I have seen some balls that you put food in so that they only get a few kibbles at the time. It is easier to get answers here than search on line. Thanks...

| Putting golf ball, or two, into bowl with food sometimes works. I have one little girl who has a nice round big rock in her food every feeding! It works.........and costs little! |

| There are special feed dishes made to prevent a dog from eating too fast, or you could try increasing the distance between them when they eat, or feed one in another room, or feed both in separate kennels/crates. Is her intent to finish fast and try to steal from the other, or is she fearful the other dog will try to steal her food? Also consider maybe she is more active having a buddy, she may need an increase in her daily ration to accomodate for her increased activity...

| I have two fast eaters and I use the Brake Fast bowl for them. It works really well. It can be found on Ebay, Amazon or a host of other places.....here is a link to information about it: Welcome to brake-fast.net!

I used a small sauce or condiment bowl turned upside down in his food bowl. It works like a charm! I was shocked, after all of this time trying to get him to slow down and something so simple works this great. lol....it works so well that Ruby, my tiny girl is now sometimes finished before Louis and I thought I would never see that day!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | This is similar to what I was going to say. Also, the bowls mentioned by Linda, kjc, and Jen are supposed to work great!

| I also have this problem with my Cooper and have yet to find anything that slows her down. What works best for me is putting several large stones in her bowl. Good luck. |
