| how much puppy should eat I just got my new puppy yesterday! He is 4 months old and actually I was asking you all a couple days ago to help me decide on a name between armani and bentley. We dicovered a new name! Riley! We came up with that through the phrase "Life of Riley" which means to lay around and do nothing. Which is basically what he does lol. He likes to play and run around but loves, loves to be held and carried! If your walking outside and he wants to be held he will just sit their and whimper. Anyways I was postin on here becuase I wasnt sure how much he should be eating. I brought him over to the bowels and like moved my finger in the water and got him to drink from their then had him follow a piece of food into his food bowel and got him to eat some from their. I've seen him drink from his water bowel but I havnt seen him eat by himself yet. Is that normal since he is new and everything? Also how much should they be urinating. He doesnt go that much. Thanks for all the help! |

| When I first brought Tia home she didn't eat right away, just slept. I really think it was the stress of "moving" -- She did eventually eat when I sat down by her food bowl and "showed" it to her. I didn't give her the run of the house when she first came home - only two rooms and eventually she discovered where everything was, including the food and water bowls. I'm so happy for you! Yay for Riley! What a cute name!! When do we get pictures? LOL

| I was told a tablespoon of food 3x a day. My puppy eats about a teaspoon 4 x a day. Sometimes he eats a little more. I also heard you are supposed to try to get them to eat about every 3 hours.

| My Pookie is about to be 4 months old, and he seemed to adapt very well. I've had him for about two weeks now, and when we got him home he was eating, drinking, poopin, and peeing pretty normal. Now, he does seem to use the the restroom a lot. It seems like every time I take him outside he pees and poops! I don't know if he does it just to get a treat, but I always try to keep an eye on him and make sure he's not trying to pull a fast one on me. Well just give your puppy some time, and he should adapt, let us know how your puppy does! |

| They say 16-24 weeks they should be fed 3x's a day so you would look on the food bag and see what the serving is for a day and then divide it by 3.....unless u free feed which is not highly recommended but works well for some households. If its a cup a day then a little over a 1/4 of a cup each serving! |

| Every dog has its own eating habits. If you put a bowl full of food on the ground and your dog is the type to gooble the whole thing up its obviously not a good way to feed your dog....that leads to a "Porkie Yorkie" but if your Yorkie eats the bowl throughout the day then yes Free feeding is suggested. |
