| How often is it okay to give my dog fruit treats? I have only been giving Max dry food(just got him). He is 3 and seems to be very interested in my food. I have not given him any "real" food yet but I read that apples, bananas, and carrots are ok. How often do you do this? Is it possible to give him "too many" fruits? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Fruits/veg can be nice treats. Go slowly at first, bc sometimes they can cause some gas - which you'd want to avoid if it happens (so, try one type of fruit/veg at a time). Sometimes, carrots can cause looser stools at first - so go slower there too. Mine love baby carrots. Keep in mind that carrots could be a choking hazard - so make sure they will chew their carrots, not gulp/just swallow.
