| Yes, they love them, but not too many pieces or it causes diarrhea. Other good treats are carrots and green beans & watermelon. Definitely NO grapes or raisins which are toxic.

| I've always given the dogs varied fruits and veggies. Not alot and not often. I gave Tab a couple little pieces (minus skin and seeds) of apple and didn't know she had stolen the whole darn apple. She had the runs a bit a few hours after. |

| Lady loves apples! I give her little pieces of peeled, chopped apple for a treat. If I spread a little peanut butter on it, she practically does back flips! |

| I use an apple corer which results in little pie shaped pieces...I then break those in half and give them a couple "slices" --- but it has the skin on...they seem to like that...is the skin a no-no for a reason (like pesticides)? I wash the apples (though we all know that hardly gets rid of all the pesticides.) If anyone knows the reasons behind the 'no skin' let me know. Thanks. Kendra |

The skins on apples are hard to digest and in some dogs can even trigger pancreatitis. Make sure there are no seeds as apple seeds, cherry pits, peach pits, pear pips, and plum pits are toxic. | |

| Thanks for the info. I never give my babies ANY people food... Chewy has doggie colitis and gets the runs easily. But I think one or two little bites would be ok once in a while... I'll give it a try and see....

| An Apple a Day . . . Bella loves almost any fruit. I cut it in small pieces with no skin. She is picky though, she loves Macintosh, Mutsu, if it's not her kind she sniffs it and walks away. Yes, she's even picky about the type of apples. She loves pears, too! Blueberries if I squish it so it pops open and is easy for her to chew. She does not like carrots in any form. |

YT Addict | Coco loves all fruit!! Well not grapes of course. Sometimes when I cut up an apple to dip in PB I take one piece and cut off the skin for her, chop it in half, and give it to her. She loves em'!
