| What do you use to brush your baby's teeth? I've been a bad mommy & haven't been brushing my baby's teeth. I need ideas on what to get to properly brush her teeth. Fortunately, she doesn't really have bad breath (she did when she had a few baby teeth coming out, but that only lasted a few weeks & now it's back to normal). But I realize it's best to keep her teeth brushed to help prevent tooth decay & tooth loss later in life.

| I am a pediatric dentist and I recommend the following brush to my "new moms" with human babies...so I of course use this on my own furbabies!!! Amazon has them and you can search for "banana baby toothbrush" Kushies makes it. I am putting the link in here..but if it doesn't come out you can do a manual search on Amazon to see it. Baby Toothbrush Hope that helps!! Karen, Ozzy and Harley |

| I use the Colgate Wisp disposable toothbrushes. They have a little hard toothpast lump in the middle but I pop it out. It's just the right size for mine. They make toothpaste for dogs that comes in all kinds of yummy flavors like beef and chicken. Here's a link for the toothbrush I'm talking about. You can pick it up at any drug store though. Amazon.com: Colgate Wisp Peppermint, 16-Count... |

| I use canine toothpaste- there is no special kind- I think I have used a bunch of different ones- you can find it at any pet store or even on the internet... I also use baby toothbrushes. I also use petzlife gel every few days. A few months ago I noticed a little plaque starting to build up on the back teeth and used LEBA III for a month to get rid of it. So far, this has all worked good- my oldest is 3.5 years old and still has pearly whites and has never needed a dental. |

| I use a rubber finger brush. It just fits over the end of your finger and you can direct it a lot better and nothing hard to hurt if they are a little uncooperative. They are like this one: Dog Finger Toothbrush Dental Care Dog Health. Very inexpensive and easy to use. Then I use any doggy toothpaste. I am not sure it is that important about the toothpaste itself, the physical brushing is what does the job.

| I use the doggy toothpaste and toothbrushes that Petsmart carries. They may these toothbrushes that have a small head on one end and they work great for little yorkie mouths. I replace them once every month or so. I've used Petrodex toothpaste in the past and now use one made by Four Paws that smells a bit like vanilla. I cannot stress enough the benefits of oral hygiene for dogs (and humans too!). Vinnie has had his teeth brushed every night since I adopted him almost 7 years ago. He has never had a tooth removed and has only had his teeth cleaned twice professionally. He has NO tartar on his teeth and his breath is fresh as can be. Considering he's about 8 or 9, that's pretty darn good! Brushing teeth each day costs about $8/month (at most) and saves a TON of money and pain that comes with decayed teeth. It also likely prevents a host of other health problems that come along with bad teeth.

| I want to know how often everyone is doing this. Our teeth brushing experiences are less than pleasant ones so I tend to not do this daily like I really think I should. Peggy, Monkey & Maddie

| I just switched to CET toothpaste and Uni loves the taste much better than what I was using Nutri-Vet. I got this starter pack for the tiny finger brush. It works way better for us. I couldn't use the rubber finger brushed bc Uni thought they were a toy. I have read many reviews and the chicken flavor is by far the winner.C.E.T. Mini Toothbrush and for $2.99 it's a great price to try it out! I find the CET really is very good. Before the other brands I tried the yellow was still on her teeth. With the CET after just one brushing the yellow was gone! I also use petzlife spray. i try to remember to use it daily.

| I brush every day and every third day use the petzlife gel. It was much harder at the beginning but now they are more used to it and it goes pretty smooth. |

| I use the little doggie toothbrushes that fit on your index finger. We've used a lot of different flavors of dog toothbrushes (I think right now we are on peanut butter). It works pretty well for us. Levi doesn't like having his teeth brushed, but he's learned to behave/wiggle around less. I try to brush his teeth twice a week. He has not yet needed a dental.

| I use a human baby toothbrush. I have tried the canine finger toothbrushes as well as a canine toothbrush but they are just way too big, making it difficult to get into the sides of the mouth to get the back teeth. The toothbrush is a medium soft. Roxy brushes everyday. She comes to expect it now. Cute. |
