| How to save teeth while their young? Our soon to be 4-year old Rusty just had to have his third tooth removed during a cleaning. Any tips on how to prevent him loosing anymore? Brushing has proven to be difficult because he hates it so we ask his groomer to brush them twice a month. Thanks for any advice! |

| Some may not agree - but I give my 5 year old yorkie one greenie every evening. She has yet to need a teeth cleaning, although she may this year. I don't brush their teeth either and leave it up to the groomers.

| I have a boy whose teeth need constant attention. I am determined to keep his teeth in his mouth. I brush them at least every three days but the best product I've found is petzlife gel. It has worked a miracle on his teeth. |

| i have a yorkie who has terrible teeth he is only 2, he has had his teeth cleaned 2x already, he has kcs, and also sjogrens, he doesnt make tears in his eyes or saliva properly. i took him to the doggy dentist last week at the univ of pennsylvania, on the advice of our regular vet he suggested biotene vetrinarian, they have a oral gel, a water additive, and a rinse, i use all 3 and brush 2x a day, i also had his teeth sealed with oravet i bought the oravet sealer kit i do at home once a week. Coopers teeth look better than they have, i have tried petzlife and plaque off and i didnt see a great difference, I also give cooper cet chews, greenies, himilayan chews, flossies, bullie sticks, and anything else that merrick sells as a chewy. Cooper doesnt mind his teeth cleaned and loves the cet toothpaste, but hates the huge brushes the toothbrushes are all huge for him, cooper is almost 4 pounds, I found the colgate wisps that are disposable they come with a little pearl of paste you use and toss, i have found that if i remove the pearl and wash it off, its a great size toothbrush for cooper, and not hard at all, and he lets me brush without a problem. |

or, have you tried using gauze and toothpaste to brush his teeth? getting his teeth brushed by teh groomer twice a month really isn't going to do anything. imagine if you brushed your teeth twice a month. LOL also, remember, no matter how well you take care of their teeth, genetics also plays a big role.

| I brush Jackson's teeth about once a week, sometimes less. I'm just really bad at keeping up with it. And I also rub Petzlife gel once or twice a week. He is 2 and has really great teeth.

| I finished a 60 gram bottle of Plaque-Off and didn't notice improvement at all. Obviously you are very diligent with Coopers teeth but I have to ask if you used the Petzlife 2 times a day and especially right before sleep. I've had so much success with this product that's why I'm a bit surprised. It's a battle for sure. I am going to up the brushing frequency and I may look into the sealer if I can ever get his teeth in really good shape. |
