| After heat: Swollen Nipples HELP! So, I haven't been on here in a few weeks due to morning sickness and just feeling like crap. But I have a question. My little baby just went through her first heat and I noticed tonight that her nipples are swollen and a little hard. Is this normal? She wasn't around any boy dogs so I know she isn't pregnant, but it is a little alarming. This is my first heat, I am clueless!

| That's funny. I was just wondering about this same thing this morning. My TinkerBelle just came out of her first heat cycle (she's 11 months old) and her nipples are hard and swollen. She was not around any boy dogs either as all my dogs are female. Now that I know it's normal I won't worry.

| Thanks you guys! I completely forgot to check on this post yesterday. We told our family and friends about our baby! I'm glad to know I can quit worrying. It was scaring me a little!
