| A rep from Nutro was at the pet store and after talking to her I decided to try it. It seemed to me that all the vegetables and fruit in it would be good for them. I only gave them some of the sample I was given so I'm taking the bag of food and treats back for a refund first thing in the morning because I didn't like what I just read about it. I'll just stick to the grain free natural balance. Thanks for the input. |

| I had a similar encounter with a Nutro rep at a dog park meeting. She shot me down for feeding Wellness and that I had switched foods numerous times without hearing my reason why. My boy had some chronic issues which we have now settled on Wellness Simple Solutions. I thought she was rather rude to me in front of other dog owners.

Definitely stick with Natural Balance. I used to feed Nutro to Sasha about 2 years ago when I didn't know anything about dog food. Then I joined this site and learned so much. I switched her off of it immediately. | |

| I fed Nutro Ultra for a little while. It does have a good rating based on ingredients. I think the trouble is with the company and their quality standards. Like someone already said - check into the consumer complaints. My pups loved it - which made me even more mad when I found out it wasn't good quality and I needed to switch. I defended it for a short while - then gave up - there were just too many complaints from people with sick pups. I didn't have any adverse effects from feeding it but many people seem to. |
