| Wellness & Thirst? I'm in the middle of changing food from Candiae to Wellness. They seem to love it & pick the new out to eat first. I have noticed they are extremely thirsty right after they eat it & for about an hour afterwards. Is this normal? Should I stop using it?

| I don't know what the protein content of Canidae or which Wellness formula you're feeding but it could be that a higher protein content is making them more thirsty.

| Candiae ALS is 24% & Wellness Super5mix Small breed is 28%. Is that enough to make them more thirsty? Will they get adjusted to it?

| I feed Wellness Small Breed to Mocha and he has never had a problem. Do you notice it every time they eat it? |

| Kibble is very dehydrating since it only contains 10% moisture. It's actually good that they are drinking more water. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I recently switched to Wellness Core this summer, yes, I think they drink more water, but like Ladymom said, it is a good thing, because it helps break down stones in the bladder. |

| I just switched to Wellness and I did notice Rosie drinking more. However, I don't think it is excessively more so I didn't worry about it. I know it has more protein than what I was feeding before. I assumed that was why she is drinking more.
