feeding 2 yorkies I have a 1yr old girl and i got her a sister she will be 3months on the 30th. I want to feed them together but one is on big girl food and the puppy wants to eat hers. I would like to try and them together so that they can bond. Is this a good idea. They play so hard together and I sure don't want to start fussy with each other. Thanks raina

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Personally I feel that the 1 years old should be eating the same type of food a 3 month old does... they are still puppies too You can try an "all stages" food. Natural balance and Nutures variety have good one... These are the two that I have tried and love both... "Natural Balance" has less protien then "Natures Variety"... I know there are some other good ones out there but i haven't tried them yet.

There's a dog food called Holistic Healthcare Extension that is made for both puppies and small adult dogs. You may want to look into that one - but I'm sure there are other dog foods out there that are made for both. Good luck.

Raina, I have two yorkie boys-one is 17 months and the other is 6 months. I feed them both Orijen Regional Red (all life stages) because they're in each other's food all the time! This is one of the best foods you can give your babies. If you decide to try this food, go to Ivey's Pet Center because its the only place in Pensacola that carries it. That is where I get it.

I feed my two together. I never had to worry about different foods, though. I use a kibble that was approved for "all life stages" so my pup and my adult were able to eat the same kibble. They share a bowl, too.

Feed pre-packaged raw, and it's gone in 30 seconds lol...job done...Of course you'd probably have to give the little one an extra meal or two, throughout the day...but omg'sh, they knock the raw back, as fast as their little mouth can swallow it...
