| Am I being paranoid or is this something to be concerned about? My soon to be 13 week old puppy Jade is vibrant and full of life. Runs and plays with the cat and us all day and then sleeps for long periods of time (Normal puppy life) however, from time to time like twice a day max and sometimes not at all she coughs or hacks. There is no honking noise and it only lasts for a second. Jade is currently a little scavenger and seems to put EVERYTHING in her mouth which is a pain. I am just paranoid about tracheal collapse. I don't think it could be kennel cough as she doesn't do it very often at all. Am I being paranoid? Is this normal with the rest of your yorkies or is this something I should generally be concerned about? |

| Is she doing it when she is playing or at rest? Does she cough until it sounds like she is gaging? If so it probably is kennel cough. Kennel cough is very contagious, but not serious. The vets usually give antibiotics to prevent pneumonia. It can take 3 weeks for them to get over it. |
