| Stress Colitis My Sadie (1 1/2 years old) was diagnosed last Monday with stress colitis....bloody diarrhea and regurgitation, due to some new treats (made in China). Long story short the vet prescribed meds and special diet. Everything was normal after 3 days. Now all of a sudden she has a little blood in her stool tonight. It has been over a week and a half since the first signs appeared. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is this normal? I will call the vet first thing in the morning, but was hoping someone else can shed some light on the subject. Thanks!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry to hear Sadie is sick again. I would have the vet check for pancreatitis and HGE just to make sure. Cali had HGE and the er vet just treated her for a stomach upset and 2 days later she had more bloody stool and my vet did blood work and found she had HGE. They treated her and she was fine in a few days. I hope she feels better soon. Keep us posted.

| stress colitis is a form of IBD; which has to be controlled by reducing the stress and good diet. my dog has ibd; and she was in the ER 6 times vomiting blood; real bad. her episodes are due to stress and food. she can't tolerate any dog food except the aunt jeni's raw food. she's on that now and i give few supplements. what meds and food your dog is on right now. good luck
