| She Just started her first... Well our little Zoey is just shy of six months, And she started her period So as I read she is in HEAT !!! Her appitite is not very good and she is a bit sluggish. She has left a few spots here and there but is generally keeping herself clean. Does anyone have any advice? I guess it will be around 3 weeks before this ends and I know to keep her away from the Male dogs at all costs ! We are getting her fixed after we return from a Las Vegas Vacation in late Sept. Hopefully everything is done by then, Oh yeah we are getting a Chip put in her too!! |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Since she is already spotting, she's in week 2 of her heat cycle. The bleeding will end in 3rd week. This is the time when she is fertile and would be receptive to a male. You can purchase diapers and use panty liners to eliminate the possiblity of blood spots on household items. Her vulva and nipples will remain enlarged awhile after her heat cycle is over.

| I don't understand why she is in heat this early. I thought yorkies started later. Can somebody explain this to me? You got me paranoid and I'm watching Tia very closely; she just turned seven months. We are scheduled for next month. |

| Are your boy dogs fixed? Maybe that's why they weren't interested in her. That would be a good thing!
