| Yorkie Dog ood? I have been feeding my one year old yorkie, Bear, Iams Dog Kibble. I heard it isn't very good for dogs? Is there any good kibble food that's safe for my yorkie to eat? Please give me some advice.

| I just switched mine to Wellness puppy and will transition them to the Wellness small breed dog food when they are a year old. They are doing really good on it and seem to like it. I did a lot of research and it was a highly rated food. |

| I really don't care for Iams products at all. My favorite food brands are: Acana Orijen Nature's Variety Wellness There are many other good foods out there. The important (and hard ) thing is to find a food your pup likes and that you feel comfortable feeding. Good luck!

| I don't personally like Iams at ALL I'm glad you're researching and taking the time to find a new food! I personally prefer grain-free, higher-ish protein, low card dog kibbles. My favorite (or Jackson's favorite) by far is Orijen and Acana (both made by Champion Pet Foods). Really great foods! I also like Fromm, Go! Endurance, Nature's Variety Instinct, Wellness CORE, etc. Remember when you switch to do it slowly. I believe it's 75% of old food, 25% of new food to start with, then gradually switch 100% over. When switching from a food like Iams to a high quality food, sometimes it can take their tummies a bit to adjust. Also remember not to over-feed! With higher quality foods, you often feed a lot less. I like Dog Food Reviews | Dog Food Ratings and Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble

| We feed Wellness Small Breed. Pistol really likes it, and is doing really well on it. |

| From my research, the best kibble out there is Acana...However, the pieces are a bit big...I'm taking care of a little tiny rescue, that couldn't eat Acana, so I'm giving her Innova kibble (and Primal raw), because the Innova is tiny little bites... |
