| NYC Vet Recommendation? (UES or other) Hi everybody! It's almost time for my baby to get here (three more weeks!), and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a fantastic vet? I just moved to NYC, the upper east side. If anyone has a great vet that they love in the city, PLEASE let me know. Thanks! Nadine |

| Congrats!!! I live in Manhattan(UES as well) and as you know $$$ is crazy in the city. Specially good vets can cost your arm & legs. carnegie hill veterinarians in USE is very good place. I personally use humane society, cause not only they are reputable, but cost about half the regular vet.(just need to call 2weeks prior to appointment) Don't forget to enjoy (9am~9pm) dog walk with your baby in central park! Good luck with your new baby!

| Thank you! Carnegie Hill is like two blocks from my apartment, so I may give them a try. But if the humane society is reputable and less expensive... that sounds great. How do I get in touch with them? Are they UES too? Last edited by luvfaithhill; 07-15-2010 at 03:54 PM. |

| I live in the city but I drive out to Smith Ridge Veterinary Clinic in South Salem NY- AMAZING vet for my furbaby- I was going to Heart of Chelsea but felt like they were out for my money and I prefer a more holistic approach- I think it's worth the drive to have a vet you love and all the vets at Smith Ridge are amazing- another friend in the city recommended them to me- if there is ever an emergency I keep a city vet but for yearly exams and non emergencies it's Smith Ridge all the way- Good Luck!!! |

| I also go to the humane society, they are pretty good. I have a question for you guys, where do you take your yorkie for grooming??? I want to find a place I'm comfortable with and can't seem to find a good one

| I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tonya at Canine Styles Downtown on Greenwich- she knows how to groom a yorkie and you can pick your furbaby up a couple of hours later so they are not there all day. She is a bit pricey but well worth it. I would not trust Keoki to too many places. |

| I groom my own babies. Last time I took my baby to the groomer, she got kennel cough However, I know people who take their babies to finishing touches by stephanie on 74th street. check out their website!
