I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I suppose it depends on the brand. I don't store Joey's in the refrigerator, but they are individually wrapped, and extremely hard, which means they are dry. The softer ones have more moisture, and as you know bacteria need moisture to live and multiply. The refrigerator would be a good place if you live in a humid climate, and they are unwrapped.

| I use to buy in bulk and keep them in the freezer. Never had any problems.
