Yorkie Yakker | Lump on my Yorkie puppies back? HI, I just got a 5 month old Yorkie last week. He has a vet appointment Saturday. I just found a nickel size movable lump on the upper right of his back. It doesn't seem to bother him? I am freaking out and was wondering if anyone has had any kind of experience like this? He's eating and acting fine and gained 2 oz. since we got him. Please help... |

| Has he had any shots? Could it be the injection site?

Yorkie Yakker | HI, thanks for responding. The breeder had his shots done. It doesn't seem hard like a injection site? It's very round? Almost like a lymoh node? I am so worried. I am calling the vet tomorrow. Maybe they were given in the same spot? |

Could it be a microchip (just throwing that out there - no idea, my dogs aren't chipped). Please don't get so upset, but do call your vet tomorrow.

Yorkie Yakker | No he's not chipped, he's had his shots early on when they are scheduled two sets, then he had a rabies and DHPP right before I got him? I have had him for a week and didn't notice the lump? It's just hard not to worry. Thanks for your response! |

| When Cooper got his rabies shot his lump was there for about 2 weeks or more. I asked my vet and he said sometimes that happens and it would go away shortly. It did and it never seemed to hurt him if I touched it. |

| Yep his lump was about that big and I got all upset too. I bet that is what it is but I would just check to be sure His lump was movable and on his right side by his neck Last edited by beader; 07-02-2010 at 03:55 AM. |

| When we got Cody he was 12 weeks old and had just been microchipped. He had a little movable lump (almost felt like a blister) to the right of his shoulder blade (in that general area). It was his microchip and don't feel it any more. |

Yorkie Yakker | Hi all, Yes I took him today and that's what they think it is a reaction to the DHPP vaccine. So they gave him Benadryl for the shots he got today to avoid this happening again. The Vet said Yorkies are sensitive and this can happen. I feel so much better and thank you all for your advice!! |
